Sheltie Puppy Information Page

We are located in the beautiful city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  Visitors are welcome to come see our sheltie puppies and their parents once the puppies are 6 weeks old. Pictures of our puppies are sent weekly to new owners.  I Will Ship Weather Permitting in Canada using WestJet.  I have shipped to Winnipeg, Calgary, Ontario, & British Columbia, and have had no problems shipping a puppy.  Pick up is preferred but if that is not possible I ship using WestJet.  Shipping Costs (including a crate) are the responsibility of the buyer.

All our sheltie puppies are sent home with a puppy pack including some of their puppy food they are on.  I feed a good quality kibble.  Our puppies will come with some puppy food, a toy, a blanket that smells like mom and siblings, their vet-record, and microchip information and number. Some information about Shetland Sheepdogs that is very important to know.  Shelties shed and need regular grooming to keep them from matting. I use a soft slicker brush and a greyhound comb to groom my shelties.  Shelties need daily exercise and are not couch potatoes.  My shelties are exercised daily and get to play fetch and run at the off leash runs, or we go for walks on leash.  It is important that you take your sheltie out and about after they have recieved all their puppy shots.  Shelties need to be socialized with many people, other dogs, and many different places.  A puppy class that you can visit and make sure you are comfortable with, including their training methods used is recommended to start your puppy off on the right paw.  I prefer clicker training and food luring methods for our shelties.  Shelties are sensitive and dont require force training, postitive reward training is best for this breed.  Another fact about shelties is they are not good apartment dogs, they like to talk, and do tend to bark more than other breeds. Shelties are very smart and love to learn new things.  They excell in dog sports such as Agility and Flyball.  They are eager to learn as long as training is fun and positive.  They rank high in intellgence.  Two of my shelties I bred have become Therepy Dogs and another competed in Agility Trials. There are many activities that are fun to participate in with your sheltie such as CKC competitve obedience trials and Rally Obedience.  Shetland Sheepdogs are loyal, smart, lively, reserved, alert, active, responisive, gentle, and intelligent companions.
